The cursor drifts bottom to top at a right angle.
The cursor drifts from bottom to top of the screen slowly. and I am unable to right or left click on anything.

check the Lenovo website to ensure the wrong driver is not installed on the laptop, if so try to use an external mouse to access the website and update the driver.
Second possibility is the "Red Nipple" on the keyboard has become physically trapped , try to reset this by vigorous manipulation (Wiggle it roughly) clockwise and then counter-clockwise.
