What is happening to my battery?

Recently my phone will turn off before even going to 1%. But, I didn't think much of it and plugged it in. That caused it to go straight to the apple logo and function properly. Now, I plugged my phone in which went to the apple logo, then to the lock screen, and turns off. This has been repeating for the last few minutes. Any help?

hi

i repair and sell iPhones full time so see this often. I take it that it will turn off at random low percentages? This is very common in all the iPhones , particularly iPhone 4S upwards. A battery replacement is simply needed.

if its still under warranty with Apple then you can get it replaced free of charge, however if not then they will replace it for £59 here in the U.K. may differ in other countries.

check if your device is under warranty by going to google and typing "check service support"

hope this helps

thanks

Jonathan
