Software update 7.1.2 failed

i tried to update my iphone to 7.1.2 version.i end up in a mess.It shows the itunes symbol with a captio Connect to itunes.Can someone help me fixing it

The problem your running in to is that, the regular iPhone 4, are not capable of accepting any updates past 7.1. so 7.1.2 is to new for that iPhone. what you can try now is downloading any software before 7.1
