Why does no sound play when I plug my headphones in?

My sound worked fine yesterday. Today, I plug in my headphones and no sound is coming out. The headphones are brand new so I don't think it's an issue with them.

Options

If your headphones don't seem to be the problem, check the audio jack for debris. Attempt to remove any debris by blowing air into the jack. If this doesn’t work, look at the phone's Audio Settings to make sure that the audio jack is enabled.
