My earphone do not play
my laptop keeps showing earphone not plugged in when it is even inserted. is it a hardware problem or software problem and how can i solve it.

Hi,
More than likely it is a faulty earphone socket. There is a contact within the socket itself which 'tells' the audio controller when a plug has been inserted, so that the sound can be re-directed from the internal speakers to the earphones.
It may also just be a loose connector cable from the board to the motherboard, so check for that first.
Here is a link to the service manual for your laptop. Scroll to Section 4-34 for information on how to remove the audio board, attached to which are the mic and earphone sockets.
