How can I add to a HP G3 ZBook laptop workstation --model year 2016; A fingerprint reader?

1)Does the hardware exist and I have to purchase software from HP to activate the module?

2) Do I have to buy a module from HP or someone else. Add module it to the laptop? If this is the case, Any soldering involved? Would you guild be to a documentation or picture to see what I am getting into.

Hi,

The following is the simple way to do it, although not as neat as having a built in unit.

There are numerous aftermarket attachments for you to choose from. Just 'Google' aftermarket fingerprint scanner.

Here is but one example. It is not meant as a recommendation for the particular product.

http://www.amazon.com/Security-Biometric....

It attaches to the laptop via a USB cable and comes with its' own software.

I would rather have a built in solution as it looks more neatly and I don't want a protruding stick out of my laptop. Thanks though.
