You can use this video on how to open the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition)

Make sure you turn off the tablet before doing this of course.

Basically the back cover is held by some clips which are around the frame, two especially between the charger port (one left of charger port and one right of charger port). Don't rush it or you may risk cracking the back cover.

Once you got the back cover off you'll need to unplug the battery cable. Next you need to lift up the clips 45° degrees up, to be more correct have the clip facing vertically up (The white clip which is on top of a slot). There are two cables. The one on the right is for the charger port + home button / microphone and the one on the left is for the LCD display and digitizer.

Once you have lifted both those cables up you the need to unscrew all the screws that are for the battery. All phillips head ones and not any other screws as it's not necessary.
