How to assign an sd card as internal storage.

I installed a micro sd in my Chromo tablet. I can see the sd card in storage, but when I select "Move to SD", I believe the items are moved to NAND flash instead of to the installed sd card. Is there a way to tell the system to use the sd card as internal storage? Thank you for any input you can provide.
