Camerra cannot focuse anymore

Hello to all,

I broken display of my HTC. After certified service camera is not working. The app can be started but focusing is not working. All my pictures are with shadows. Is it problem of camera itself or motherboard issue?

In company who serviced my phone, they do not accept my claim.

I would like to solve the issue by myself

Hi,

Here is a link that shows how to open a HTC One Mini 2. The video is in German, but it is self explanatory.

At 1:30 minutes into the video, it shows that the camera module is accessible. You may wish to check that it has been connected properly, as it is a plug-in module.

As an alternative, here is the Ifixit guide for replacing the battery in a HTC One Mini 2 which shows how to open the phone so that access (at Step #6) to the camera is possible.
