Changing SSD to HDD

Hi,

I have a macbook with 128GB SDD storage and have bought a hard disk drive for it;

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009A...

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to change the SSD to a HDD and if this one is alright?

Thanks,

Ben

The retina models can only support SSD blade type of drives. Your SATA drive will not physically fit nor able to interface inside your system. Best to return it.

Presently there is no 3rd party options available to upgrade your internal drive. I have some good news here as there are some options coming out very soon! OWC has a tease on their web site.

In the mean time you could leverage the SD slot to hold a second SSD. As an example: Transcend Jet Drive Lite.

The last option here is going with either a USB or Thunderbolt connected external drive (either a HD or SSD).
