whight screen everything else seems too be ok

hi there i my iPod 3rd generation a1318 connects to iTunes fine pc says its fully charged as well so all good on battery and that side how ever the screen was not coming on at all so i took the front off and first thing i did was cheak the connections i could see one at top one at bottom was loose so pushed it back in low and behold the screen came on but just shows up wight nothing else any suggestions as it should be working as screens not broken batteries good connects to iTunes so should be working any help would be much appreciated thank you in advance.
