Troubleshooting Motherboard Power Socket

How can I test the motherboard to see if it is receiving power. The power supply works fine but when I plug the supply into the socket nothing happens. I am using a multimeter, but when I make contact with the motherboard I do not get a reading of power. Any ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

All of our controllers are paired up with the new system, but I do have one that still might be paired to the limbo system. I will try this afternoon and give an update!!

So you dont get any response from the xbox one when you tap on the power button correct?

It could be the power button sensor faulty.

Have you tried turning on the Xbox one with a controller if its already paired up ?

The controller is not turning the system on, I don't think the motherboard is receiving power
