Is it possible to adjust the guide wheels on the print head?

I have a Epson 7880 who;s left hand guide wheels are not following the track, (my terminology). The print head that travels back and forth to print is held on the track by two sets of guide wheels. The right hand set are tight. The left hand set are loose so that when the printer tries to cut (haven't even gotten to try and print), the head moves back and forth but is not parallel to the paper. This means that the cutter blade will not touch the paper.

I am curious if the bottom roller has an adjustment that draws the head up in tight contact with the track. Does anyone know? Is this too much of a repair for a user to make?

I have placed four images in the following folder for your inspection.

Figure #1 is a side view showing how the rollers attach to the track. Figure #2 shows the rollers off the track. Photo #1 and #2 show the same thing but from above.

Hi,

You've probably got this, but here is a guide regarding the cutter unit. It may be of some help. Scroll from p.261-268
