The flash isn't working!

Alright, I bought this camera about 2 weeks ago and have everything still, used it right out of the box until yesterday, when the flash wouldn't work anymore. I've done all I can without breaking the thing, the button doesn't really work so I kinda have to force it open (which I don't want to do because it might break), and then once I do get it open the flash isn't working. Is it possible I need to take it apart and replace the bulb? If so, I'm not really comfortable with that, but is it possible this could be a software issue?

Hello William, is the flash bulb slightly dislodged? That may be why the flash head does not open up easily when you press the flash button. You can use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding in the bulb and then adjust the bulb and screw it back in properly. Once the bulb is in properly, the flash might start working again, otherwise you may have a dead bulb.

If the flash bulb is dead, this is an easy fix - you can just follow the guide right here: Samsung NX30 Flash Replacement.

All you have to do is get a spare bulb and switch the dead bulb out by unscrewing a couple screws.
