Mac Mini Won't Start

I started my Mac Mini yesterday for the first time in a few years. It started up like a trooper. Then it just turned off and now I can't get the light to come on.

Tried to unplug for 20 seconds, plugged it in, then waited five seconds, but still no luck.

I will be going to the apple store to talk to a genius. Maybe it's just the power supply, hopefully that is it.

Anyone else have these symptoms and find an answer?

Apple no longer supports this model. While the genius with be sympathetic on your plight he won't be able to help you.

When you try starting the system do you get any signs of life? Like fan noise or LED flashing?

There is no sign of life. No LED. No fan noise. I was hoping to try a different power supply and thought genius might have one.

Apple won't have the needed power adapter. I would look at eBay for a unit and make sure I could return it if it didn't work. Remember this model can't run the newer OS's
