How do I replace the charging port?

My wife's Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) will not charge any longer. I bought a new charging port from ifixit, but I am not sure how to proceed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is a really easy repair once you get it open. To open it, remove the stylus and then use a plastic opening tool between the glass and the plastic frame around the tablet to separate the two - you'll hear clips click as you go. This will let the back come off. Sounds easy but it's a pain sometimes. Anyway, once you've got that done there's a couple screws holding the old port and flex cable. Remove them, then unclip the flex and put the new one on. Putting it back together is much easier than tearing it apart.

There's a video of the process here.
