My computer stops often when it starts (black screen)

Hello,

My Macbook has a boot problem. When I start it, it uses not to boot. I hear the hardrive and do not see the apple boot screen. Sometimes, it is OK and I can work on it but it uses also to stop after a moment. I have done some command+alt+p+r, but the problem persists. It seems to be a known issue and I heard it is about the motherboard (battery). Do you have a tutorial to replace it?

Thank you for your attention.

My best.

The PRAM battery is just one thing it could be. We need to test a few things first. Try starting up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the "C" key. If this works, go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities, Disk Utility and try to repair the hard drive. If the start up DVD fails, try hooking it up to an external monitor and tell us if the problem persists. We also need to know the Exact model you have to direct you to the correct part and repair manual. Remove the battery and look in the compartment as most Books have this information in there and tell us what you have.

Hello,

My serial number is 4H6362W8U9E.

I have done wha you told me and the hard drive needed to be repaired, so it is repaired now.

However, the problem persists. I have removed the upper case as I have recently changed my airport card (it seems to be an official 802.11N one, but I bought it on ebay...) by myself with the anti-static tools. It has started great but it stops when I move the computer in different ways or if push a little bit on the middle of the upper case. Then it restarts normally. Maybe I should try with the old airport card to see if it the same.
