Need to reset BIOS

Couple of years ago motherboard on my VPSZ1 series Vaio laptop has been changed by Sony. The laptop was under the warranty.

However when the motherboard was changed BIOS was not reset. Currently this creates a number of problems since I am unable to upgrade to new drivers etc. I called Sony. I wish they would send me a CD and my IT guys would definitely be able to take care of the problem. Unfortunately Sony is sending me to Best Buy and I am not at all sure BEST BUY can actually do it.

Anyone with a similar problem?
