Charges, ps menu button works, but none of the other buttons work

When I press/hold the center ps button, the controller will turn on, or the ps3 will go to the ps menu screen, but none of the other buttons or sticks will work. The center ps button is the only thing on the controller that works, and I dont have anyway of paying for a replacment. And I also cant find anything about it, which is why you're reading this right now. Please help me guys.
