Won't play some brand new dvds

My DVD player will not play some brand new discs.

It comes up with loading, and then says it is playing from previous played spot and nothing happens. Even though the disc has never been in the player before.

I have tried to stop the DVD, as well as trying to get it to load the disc menu and neither will work. What can i do to try fix this please?

Hi, Try removing any discs, turning it off, unplugging it from the power for about a minute then reconnecting the power and switching it on - what happens when you load a disc? If it fails as before what is the brand and model number of your DVD player?

Options

New DVD's have additional copyright features that older machines can't read.

My dad had this problem, just buy a new player, their cheap as 13 bags of chips these days ;)
