What I need to know about screen replacement?

My laptop screen cracked and I wanna make sure I buy the right replacement. I have someone that will do the replacement. I am afraid of going to a place and charging hundreds.

@stephd the proper part number for your model is HP 709171-001. Use our favorite search engine and take a look around. Cost for the display is around $45USD and it is relatively easy to come by.
