Can someone recover data from a smashed iPhone?

I have a iPhone 6plus that was driven over, completely destroyed! There is no throwing a new screen on it. However the internal components seem mostly intact. Can the memory be put into a dummy phone to recover pictures?

joey, not unless you try your logic board out in a new case. You are of course going to run into numerous issues including your touch ID fingerprint scanner unless you can salvage the original button. There is no way to transfer the memory IC's to a dummy phone.

Difficult to say without seeing it. You potentially could get this back to working, the logic board that is. My advice is to plug it into iTunes, and see what it says, first

There is no point connecting to itunes with a smashed iphone. The phone needs to be unlocked to sync.

Or to save all the info. If you where signed into icloud you might be able to sign in on your new phone to the same account

If you want to restore entire iPhone data via iTunes, you can also try iRefone, to recovery iPhone data selectively.

Yeah would need to see a picture, but if you have a passcode on your phone, you will not be able to access the data, until you put in the passcode on the phone and trust the computer. If you plug into iTunes and hear the tones that's it's connected that would be good. Maybe you could find a repair place in your area to see if they could put on a screen or a broken screen for a few bucks just so you can get your data. If you need some help let me know

You should check your iTunes or iCloud backup first, and then if that doesn't help, use a data recovery tool to have a try.
