My power receiver got broken how to fix it

My power receiver got broken and if i plug in the cord to the device it is not charging as well. i know that it got broken pls suggest me how to fix it. And also the screw drive number which i need for opening the device

Hi,

Here is a video that shows how to replace the battery in a Garmin Nuvi LM50. It will help you by showing how to open the case and therefore how to gain access to the motherboard. At 2:55 minutes into the video you can see the mini USB type charging port sitting on the motherboard.

If the port in your Nuvi is just loose on the board you'll just have to solder it back on. If it is physically broken (i.e connectors broken internally in the port) you'll have to replace it with a similar type of female mini USB jack.

This link should give you all the necessary tools that you require to open it. You may also require a soldering iron and solder.
