iPhone 3GS - New Battery Not Charging
I replaced my IPhone 3GS Battery and Doc Connector successfully.
When I connect my Phone; the battery does not seem to Charge.
How do I say for sure the new battery was not faulty.
Is this a good question?

vishwanathanm you really do not know if the new battery works or not. There were issues with incompatible batteries. For that you would have to let us know what numbers your battery has. With the iPhone 3GS the magical APN appears to be 616-0435.> Check on here for more Of course if the battery is okay (right APN) and you are sure that the dock connector is properly installed (why did you change it in the 1st place?) you may have issues with the "fuses on the board. The "fuses" are not really fuses. the one referred to as battery fuse is actually a 0.050 1% 1/3W MF 805 resistor and the "charging fuses" are FERR-120-OHM-1.5A inductors.
Battery "Fuse"
Charging "Fuse"
Last but not least, you could have issues with the power management IC. Replacing the power IC is not an easy thing to do. The only instructions I have seen (and definitely saved) are here. If you are so inclines to check some of the voltages on your board, here is the image of where you can measure those.
