Whats this resistor? where to buy another? Pics inside

This is a Late 2008 Macbook pro 15in 2.4 Ghz C2D

Was working fine, ran on the hot side for a while, one day it stops turning on

Green light on charger comes on

No boot, No chime, No light in front, No spinning fans, No spinning HDD

Nothing, its like a fuse popped

pulled out the trusty multi meter and checked for continuity on these resistors? and the one circled in red is open

Does anyone know what that one is for, a cause for it failing, the specs and where i can get another one?

Thanks

edit :

smai555 there is no way to answer your question. Unless we can see where the components are located, we cannot assist you. Post some images of the logic board and the components location on the board. It will also make things easier if you can give us the 820-XXXX number of your logic board.

smai555, this is just to identify the component and not to diagnose your board. Sorry, no resistor involved with this one. The component in question is a 1000pF 2KV 10% capacitor in a 1206 package. It is part of your Ethernet connector circuitry. A Yageo CC1206KKX7RDBB102 would be a suitable replacement. Available at digikey as well as many others.
