Before my laptop turned off permanently, there was a warning every time I logged in to consider replacing the battery. Now that it will no longer turn on, how do I go about physically replacing it?

Replacing the battery is easy. Try buying a new battery of the same model from the manufacturer. Once you have that, take 30 seconds to follow this guide

@jimfixer yes they are. Looks like those are students that are working on assignments. Anytime you see something like this, check the users out and you see something like "UMASSD-CATANIA-F15S4G5" Student teams in the technical writing course. Their assignments seem to be a bit backward, but that will be up to the ifixit team:-)
