even when cranking for extended time gas filter bowl doesn't fill and mower won't start there is no sputtering or coughing as if even trying to start, will be changing plug and filter as suggested let yopu know

make sure the gas tank is full(ish) and that any petcocks in the fuel line are open. Gravity should fill the float bowl.
