Battery pintout - iPod touch 4th gen

Hi,

While I was replacing the battery on y ipod touch 4th gen. And in the process I ripped out one of the tracks on the PCB. The contacts for the +ve and _ve terminals are intact but the one is the middle is gone.

If anyone can tell me what is the central contact is for. I can solder it to one of the pins in the 30 pin connector.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Hi oceanroxx

The middle terminal is a NTC / temperature sensor. I have had this issue recently also. I have tried to look for a solution but no one seems to know where to jumper this connection to. I managed to find a test point that is connected to the other end of this trace, it is the bigger spot just below the connector for the volume buttons on the other end of the board.
