memory card is stuck

My memory card is stuck and wont pop out

push it in then retracted it .There is a spring lock you need to actuate first so it needs to be pushed in then pulled out

The correct way to remove the CF card from the XTi/400D (or indeed most Canon DSLRs that use CF cards for storage) is to push the small black plunger that's right next to the card, near the bottom of the camera. The card will disengage from the socket and eject far enough to grasp it and pull it out of the slot.

The plunger will stay down until a CF card is inserted again.

Pushing down on the CF card itself will not release it from the slot.
