Remove/replace stripped hinge screws?

I accidentally stripped the T6 Torx hinge screws on my early 2009 15" MacBook Pro. Is there an easy way to get them out? I'd like to avoid taking it to a professional. They aren't completely stripped -- that is, the holes aren't pure circles yet -- but they don't hold the Torx screwdriver. Would a precision screw extractor work?

Incidentally, is it possible to buy these sorts of screws at a hardware store? I can't seem to find them at iFixit or elsewhere online (at least not without the accompanying hinges, which I don't need).

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This screw extractor should work fine: http://www.amazon.com/Moody-Tools-58-067...

I don't think you'll be able to find those specific screws for that old of a computer without buying the hinge first, but its less than $15 : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuin-Apple-LCD...

I’m having an issue which I believe is due to stripped screws. When closing the top display side, the cover is separating at the hinge from the display side, if that makes sense. Having difficulty finding info on this. Tia
