Black screen after login

I had iyogi troubleshoot my laptop and they replaced drivers and ran a program to diagnosis hardware problems. The hardware diagnosis was inconclusive and the laptop worked OK for a while. Now it is doing it again. I wonder if it IS Hardware. I am running win 10 and I the laptop is about 5 yrs old. The laptop is a Dell Studio 1645 XPS.

Hi,

Dell does not support your laptop running Win 10 and have issued no drivers, including graphics drivers, for it beyond Win7 64bit.

This is what AMD/ATI the makers of your graphics adapter has to say regarding Win 10 and older graphics adapters such as is in your laptop.

I am just wondering what graphics adapter drivers your system is using and whether the drivers installed are being affected by any changes made to your laptop since Iyogi got it running. Could you try doing a system restore back to when you got it back from Iyogi and see if it then works? If so, obviously something has affected how your graphics works. The trick is to find out what and even if you do, can you prevent it from happening in the future.
