Diesel is coming into the motoroil?

Hyundai i40 1.7 Diesel 136Hp 2012 Aut.

There is coming Diesel in the motoroil.

0.5 cm. more oil in 300 km.

I have before drive about 3.000 km. after oil change. and there was about 3 cm. more motoroil than normal. It's alot... and not good.

The car have total drive 280.000 km.

Hyundai in Denmark have used one week, tried to find the problem, without luck.

Is there anyone who know about this problem (Diesel in mortoroil).

It’s extremely likely that the shaft seal on your CP1 fuel pump is bad, as that is the only fuel component which is directly connected to your oil passages. If an injector was leaking while driving , enough to gather over 300 ml of fuel in the oil, that cylinder would not ignite all the fuel and you would experience a LOT of smoke and poor idle. A leak down at rest would also occur, and although it would not drain enough fuel into the cylinder to cause a hydraulic lock up, it would certainly make for an uncomfortable and smoky start.

Have a shop connect a pressure tester on the rail, start the motor and then turn it off and watch the rail pressure. It should take a considerable amount of time significant loss.

Hi Lars,

Its quite possible that one of the diesel injectors that supply your engine with fuel is leaking. If that is the issue, by replacing the defective injector, you should eliminate your current issue.
