check engine light code "P0300" random miss fire

I have a 1998 Chevrolet Cheyenne V8 5.7 ltr. 2WD. My computer throws "P0300" random miss fire code. I just replaced spark plugs and wires, rotor and cap and timed it. swapped in a 1999 Suburban engine 2yrs ago. Anyone got any direction on the matter?

Check all your wires are seated properly . usually there's another code with a 300 code usually 301-308 to indicate which cylinder misfired . Was the code thrown before the tuneup or after? If it was from before the tuneup you may just need to erase the code .
