Xbox 360 comes on but can't get it to work
Power button won't light up and tray wont open controllers won't connect. Please help.

As haukugingin mentioned, this definitely sounds like a power issue.
I suggest you borrow someone else's power supply and check if that resolves the issue, if it does you need a new power cable / brick.

It sounds like your console is not getting power, have you checked the light on your power brick? When the 360 is on the light on the power brick will turn green, otherwise it should be yellow / amber.
