iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c front camera?

Someone bought a screen for his iPhone 5c with the home button and everything already installed. When we installed the screen, connecting the camera would always hinder the digitizer from working. LCD was on with the image but no touch.

So after switching the camera with the old one he had on his cracked screen, everything worked normally. The difference is that his front camera did not have the sticker that goes on the back plate. And it doesn't look like it's an iPhone 5 front camera with less surface connected with the adhesive to the back plate.

So I'm wondering what kind of camera is it? Also I have seen online that the sensor and front camera cable did not come with the sticker.

Any clues to what's happening? I want to see if this front camera can be saved or I would need a new one. And whether the new ones don't always come with that square adhesive part.
