Is it possible to disable the clicking sound when using the touch pad buttons?
Is this a good question?
Is it happening all the time or only when you're using Windows Explorer?
If only in Win Explorer go to Control Panel > Sounds > Sounds > In "Program Box" scroll down to Windows Explorer then scroll down to Start Navigation
In the "sounds" box below the program box, scroll up and highlight (none), click Apply then OK.
Hi Jayeff, thanks for offering help.
This is consistent with every use of the touch pad buttons, regardless of programs. I believe it's an Asus feature, but it's really annoying, especially when clicking through a document or online site.
You've probably been here already. Have found this link which may be of interest to you. It confirms what you are saying Asus controls the touchpad not the OS. Hopefully it is relevant to your laptop and that it allows you to do what you want to do.
