Why is the lighting of the monitor does not work?
The illumination of the monitor on my iPod no longer works. What are the parts and procedures should I follow to fix it?

The main reason that the backlight may have stopped working is the LCD screen itself. The guide to replace this is @ iPod Nano 4th Generation Display Replacement.
Other reasons are corroded cables and connector pins after water / condensation damage. Check it over carefully before buying a new screen.
