After getting hot in the sun Ipad no longer reacts to swipes.

I have a one year old Ipad air 2. It was left in the truck in the sun so I assume it must have gotten hot. It now no longer reacts to swipes. I believe it does react to quick touch because if you put the assist on ( three taps of the home button) it recognizes and says hello in the different languages when you tap them. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix? I have tried a new digitizer with no change in function.

Just to update, I'm a dippy doodle. The ipad is an air 1, not an Ipad air 2 as originally thought. Either way I still can't get a response from the digitizer.

Ipad air 2 for sure and yes I have replaced the digitizer. I have been doing repairs for over three years so I am fairly comfortable around these machines. I have indeed tried all the usual suspects as well. Was hoping someone has experienced this and knows of a repair or fix for it.

So you already replaced the digitizer? And to confirm you have the iPad Air 2 not the Air? Because the screen for the iPad Air 2 is pretty expensive. Did you try the reset by holding down the home button then push and hold power button until the Apple icon comes on!
