My computer keeps saying no bootable device

I have an AlienWare M11x R2 laptop for possibly three-four years now. I gave the PC to my sister and later asked her how she liked that laptop and she said that it keeps saying

"Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)

Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Inter Corporation

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.0.0.9(05/08/09)

Check cable connection!

PXE-MOF : Exiting Intel PXE ROM.

No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

So I asked my sister if she has the AlienWare case that came with the laptop and said No she lost it so I can get the disc that came with it.

First; check the PCI E connection inside. Should be a small removeable card connected to the motherboard. Also look for a ribbon connector near the ethernet port. One of those is loose or broken. Fixing that problem may fix the other. If not, check the CMOS settings for boot priority. Network boot should not be the first priority. Hope that helps. Good luck...
