Why isn't my home button working?
I have to repeatedly press the touchpad in order to get the home button to work. For the rare times that it does work, it's very slow to respond. How can I fix it?

The OnePlus2 has had reported grounding error issues causing this to happen. Sometimes something as simple as holding the phone at a slightly different angle when you use the home button can fix the problem. Another thing that you can do to fix the problem is go into setting and enable "On Screen Navigation" which allows you to use a home button on the screen.

Open up and make sure the bottom 2 center ribbon connection and the top usb cable connection are all intact. Once that is done, restart phone and try.
If it is ok, proceed to cover back phone
