upgrading the operating system to latest release

Your site is very user friendly and open. My question:

How can I load the current Android's builds released by Google?

What are the required steps doing it - do's and donot's!

I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and want to have it and would like to update it to current version(s) released by Google.

Probably not the greatest idea, updating lollipop is just going to make that old device, slower than it already is. I understand the love for an old device. But, I wouldn't update if I was you
