agitates but will not draining
my washer agitates but wont drain. it appears that the lid closer switch is not there anymore

dawn, could be lid switch issue. It could also be a drain pump, clogged filter or clogged drain issue. If it sits there waiting to drain, check to see if it is absolutely silent or if you can hear a hum. If it hums it could be something stuck in the drain pump or you may have a defective drain pump. Check on here how to replace the pump. If it does not hum then the problem is more likely the lid switch. If you can give us your complete model number we might get more info for you
