camera will not power up after closing the battery cover

After changing batteries, the camera will not power up every time. When this happens I open the battery cover, close it and it works. Now it will not power up at all.

Hi,

Check to see if the terminals in the battery cover and in the battery compartment are clean. Use a cotton bud (Q-tip?) very lightly moistened with some Isopropyl Alcohol to gently rub the terminals clean. Also ensure that there is a bit of "tension" in the cover terminals, i.e. that you feel that the terminals will be gently pushed back by the batteries when the cover is closed.

Thanks for the tip. I examined the contacts and saw they did not need cleaning. I installed the batteries and the camera powered on. Keeping my fingers crossed.
