For me it seems I simply need to turn the auto lock on/off during the call-even if it means turning it from locked to unlocke rotation. I'm not sure why it's very weird.

Is rotation lock turned on on your phone? If so, swipe up from the bottom of your phone to bring up the control center and look for a round button with a lock on it and disable rotation lock.

Hi,

It appears that this is a fairly common issue with the iPhone 6. You may be able to remedy it by calibrating the compass in settings. This has worked for people with the same problem in the past. If that does not work, I would suggest locking the orientation and seeing if the problem persists.

You may have to contact Apple on this one, though I hope calibrating the compass takes care of it!

Ive heard that the compass calibration fix has worked for some but not all, as Kenny stated it is a fairly common issue with the iPhone 6 and also the 6 Plus as well. I recommend a simple soft reset to correct the error. Simply hold down both the power button and home button for about 8-10 seconds until the device powers down, and then turn it back on using the power button and the issue should be resolved.

It seems Apple has dropped the ball with the most recent updates to iOS 9. I hope they evaluate and calibrate some changes sooner than later.

If this happens try to turn your iPad around the way you want to see the person fast then quickly swipe down from the battery icon and press the button that is a circle with a lock inside
