Display Ribbon Cable Repair

Does anyone have a way of repairing the ribbon cables on a Raspberry Pi 7" touchscreen display? I damaged one of my cables connecting it to the Pi. I've watched a couple of Youtube videos on the subject, but thought there might be another way of fixing this. Thanks for any help.
