starting my trator bough a new battery
have a 21 hoarse sears tractor turns over onces then it stops wait a little bit does the same bought a new battery still does the same thing

tim, that does sound like either a bad starter or a bad starter solenoid. We can possibly give you more information if you can get us a make and model number of your mowers engine.
