no service after reassembling phone

Tried to take phone apart to fix power button. Not only did I not fix the intial problem, now it doesn't detect my sim card. HELP!

The SIM reader is on the board. Try a different AT&T SIM that at least is known to work. It just needs to work. It can be inactive. If it works, then you damaged the SIM card, and AT&T will replace it for free.

If it doesn't work, the SIM reader is damaged. This is going to mean a new board, or a component level repair. You would need a Mini-SIM slot in this case.
