Upgrading Processor and RM

Hello,

Is it possible to upgrade the processor and RAM on my Macbook Pro by changing the logic board?

My current specification is 8GB & i5. Some of my work require more processing power. Then one of my colleague suggested changing the logic board may help.

Can we change to say Year 2013 Macbook Pro's logic board - i7 + 16GB RAM?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Adding ram is relatively trivial for a MacBook Pro, as long as you order 204pin SODIMM ram. I know on older MacBooks, you were limited to a single speed of ram, but I'm not sure if that continues to be correct.

As for logic boards, the layout of components (specifically connectors) could be different (along with size and shape), so I would be very hesitant to swap logic boards.
