Sadly, its not really possible.

First you would need to find a MXM board that fits into your system and then it needs to have the Apple firmware and the OS needs to support it.

Yes, it is possible!

Look on YouTube for upgrading GPU for 21.5” & 27” I did my 27’’ iMac and am running Catalina with no problem. The card I used was a Quadro k4100M

Using dosdude patch and it runs excellent… I would wait for the GPU cards to come down in price on eBay though.
