Loosing connection to my router after installation of new wireless car

In August one day my macbook lost complete internet and would not even show the card or anything to do with wireless connections. Ordered replacement card, installed and connected to internet. Next time I turned on my computer a couple of hours later it kept saying my connection to my network is timing out and can't reconnect to my wifi even after going through all the network settings. Hours of troubleshooting with Apple and they are stumped. Went to my friends house same thing got connected to her internet worked great came back and no longer a connection and could not even find the network I had been on. Any ideas?

Update (09/23/2015)

So back to no internet again. I see my network and click on it and than get message that says The Wifi network " could not be joined. Try moving closer to wireless router. Alternatively, run wireless diagnostics to troubleshoot. Any ideas?

Give this a try or WiFi Explorer (link below): WiFi Signal. Until you get a better diagnostic tool you're just shooting in the dark.

What is the WiFi router you are trying to access. Also have you tried turning it off as well as any other devices that connects you to the internet to see if resetting them fixes things.

One of the problems people are starting to see is too many competing devices running on the same WiFi channel.

I would start off getting a WiFi app that lets you see all of the access points (AP's) and the channels they are using. WiFi Explorer which is available on the App Store is a good one.

Then using the needed software for your router (AP) alter the settings so you are not sitting on the same channels. I would also recommend you alter your settings so you don't leave your AP open as others could be both using your AP but also could be viewing your data stream if it's not encrypted. If you can setup WPA2 (best) or at least WEP2.
